Veterinary Nurses

The Clare Vet Group nursing team is made up of 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVN's), 3 Student Veterinary Nurses and 2 Auxillary Nurses.

Steven Robinson RVN, Head Nurse.

Steven joined Clare vet Group in 2005.  He completed a Certificate in Animal Nursing with Distinction Profile in 2007. In 2011 he became a fully qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse, 2013 Steven completed the Certificate Diploma for Dog Grooming Stylists. He became Head Nurse in 2014.

 

 

 

 

Julie Elliott RVN, Deputy Head Nurse

Julie has worked in Clare Vet Group since 2001, qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2006.  She became Deputy Head Nurse in 2008.
Julie oversees the ordering of equipment and drugs for the hospital.  She particularly enjoys exotics anaesthesia, as well as the equine side of the practice. 

 

 

Claire Morris RVN, Deputy Head Nurse

Claire joined Clare Vet Group in January 2011, having qualified as a Veterinary Nurse from the Royal Veterinary College in June 2008.  She worked for a few years in the Queen Mother Hospital in London and for Vets Now in Belfast before joining Clare Vet Group.  Claire runs our weight clinics and is available most afternoons to give advice on nutrition, pet food and weight loss. Claire is now also a clinical coach, which means along with Pauline she can assess our SVN's throughout their training.

 

Katie Beech RVN- Head Receptionist.

Katie has worked in Clare Vet Group since 2002.  She qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in February 2009.  Katie is also a Petplan Insurance Advisor and processes all the claim forms for our insured clients.

 

 

 
 

Pauline Nicholl RVN

Pauline joined Clare Vet Group in June 2014 as a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse.  Pauline particulars enjoys her hands on nursing. Along with one of our deputy head nurses Claire, Pauline is one of the clinical coaches with in the practice. This means she trains and signs off our student Veterinary Nurses work to help them achieve qualification. At home Pauline is kept busy by her young daughter, 1 cat and 3 dogs!

 

Laureen Kennedy RVN, Dip HECVN, Dip AVN (small animal).  Practice Manager.

Laureen qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in 2002, having worked at Clare Vet Group since 1994.  In 2004 she became Head Nurse looking after the team of 6 RVN's, 2 student nurses and 3 Auxilary nurses.
She is also a clinical coach which means she can assess student nurses during training.
Laureen achieved her Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing through Myerscough College in Spring 2012.  In June 2014 Laureen gave up her head nursing to become Practice Manager, and after working within the practice over the past number of years has a real passion about it.

Lauren joined Clare Vet Group in July 2014. She is in her second year of her Veterinary Nursing programme.  Lauren particularly enjoys her hands on nursing or our hospitalised patients. At home all her time is taken up with her muched adored Shih Tzu Toby.   

 

 

 

Louise Irvine

Louise joined Clare Vet Group in 2012 doing evening shifts assisting in Kennels, she then went on to work in kennels throughout the summer holidays from school. In September 2015 Louise will be starting her Veterinary Nursing course, all at Clare Vet Group wish her well in her studies.  Outside work Louise doesn't have much free time as currently she owns, 2 dogs, 1 cat and 2 horses
