Euthanasia and Cremation

This is one of the most stressful roles that vets perform and we appreciate the distress this causes for you, the owner.

We try to accommodate these requests at quieter times of the day avoiding busy clinics, where we can provide a quiet room, a nurse and plenty of time to explain the full procedure.

Again house visits can be arranged and if possible during normal office hours.

Sometimes it helps to talk to someone who understands. The Pet Bereavement Support Service provides confidential support and information for pet owners. To contact them in confidence click on the following link. PBSS

 Cremation

After the sad loss of your pet, there are 3 options available;
If you wish, you can take your pet home for burial.

If this is not possible, we offer cremation through Cranmore Pet Crematorium.
You can then choose between either normal cremation (your pets ashes are scattered in Cranmore's Garden of Rememberance)
or private/individual cremation (where the ashes are returned to you, the owner).

If you choose private cremation, the types of casket available are shown down the right hand side of this page, as well as on the Cranmore Website.
