Edel joined Clare Vet Group as a qualified nurse in 2015. She has previously obtained her nursing qualifications from Athlone Institute of Technology in 2014. Edel has had a passion for veterinary nursing since working at a stud farm in 2008, where she helped nurse young foals and assisted the equine vet.
Edel has a passion for ensuring pets are a healthy weight, she enjoys carrying out weight management clinics where she is able to help owners with diets for their pets and follow the progress of the animals.
Edel also enjoys working with the geriatric patients and ensuring they are comfortable in the practice.
At home in County Mayo she has two Connemara ponies and a dog called ‘big Dave’, she also has Finnbar her dog that lives here with her.
In her spare time Edel enjoys running and competing in running events.
